A native of Harvey Illinois, Cathy Sullivan has been a resident of Richton Park since 1974 where she graduated from Rich South High School in 1990. After high school she attended Northern Illinois University and attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics, graduating in 1995. She joined the VFW Auxiliary in 2016 and is a Life Member of the VFW Post 450 Auxiliary, where she currently serves as Auxiliary Junior Vice President and Secretary. Her eligibility is derived from the service of her grandfather, Edwin Scheer, who served in the United States Army in WWII. A patriotic American, Cathy is a direct descendant of Jerimiah Sullivan who served as a Private in the 1st Regiment of North Carolina Militia during the American Revolution, she is a member of the Sauk Trail Chapter of the Daughter of the American Revolution.
