I am honored to serve as The Department of Illinois State Historian and Media relations under Department President Diane Ahrens.  Diane’s motto will be "Life is Sweet Serving our Veterans”. As Auxiliary members we all know it is a pleasure to serve our Veterans.  As a nurse, I aws taught to document, or it didn't happen. So, the importance of taking pictures and recording Auxiliary activities allows everything you do to become a memory. Memories are the foundation of your Auxiliary. Memories encourage us to enhance the future programs we provide to our Veterans. Be proud to share new and old ideas, remember everyone can create history. 

 I joined under my husband as a Navy veteran, but I am proud to say I have a son who is active duty in the Army as a recruiter. My father served during Korea and my brother in Iraq, both were also in the Army.  

I have had the privilege of serving as the Auxiliary President of Post #7448 in Winthrop Harbor IL from 2018-2020 then 2022-present. I am currently the Jr Vice for District 5 but have also been a trustee for District 5.
