A little about Danielle's theme and logo this year:

"My theme is "Their Fight. Their Story. Our Voice” – I chose this theme to bring us back to the heart of why we are here: our Veterans. They carried the weight, made the sacrifices, and fought the battles. Their work, their courage, and their stories are the reason we exist. Now it is our responsibility—and our honor—to be the voice that continues their fight. We lift their stories, advocate for their needs, and ensure their hard-earned efforts are supported, recognized, and never forgotten.

My logo features an eagle—an emblem of vision, focus, resilience, fearlessness, adaptability, and loyalty. For me, the eagle carries deep personal significance. My grandfather, who served in the U.S. Coast Guard, had an incredible eagle tattoo that I admired growing up. Later, my father—a Chicago Firefighter—chose the same symbol. Because of them, the eagle has always represented service, sacrifice, and commitment. That connection aligns perfectly with our mission: to serve our Veterans with the same dedication they have shown our country. The bouquet represents those we honor and support. The poppies symbolize the Veterans who have gone before us, a timeless tribute to remembrance and sacrifice. Paired with them is the yellow rose, long connected to Military spouses. It symbolizes welcome, new beginnings, friendship, and the quiet strength of those who stand beside their service members. It honors the endurance, love, and critical role of spouses whose support makes service possible.

Tying it all together is a teal support bow—a reminder of the profound impact PTSD has had on so many lives. It signifies our responsibility to support every Veteran, spouse, and family affected, and reinforces our commitment to stand with them in healing and hope."
