Hello, my name is Linda Lorenz. I joined the VFW Auxiliary in 1971 under the eligibility of my brother, Robert P. Lorenz, Jr, a Vietnam Veteran. My family has been active in the VFW Auxiliary for 3 generations. My grandmother, mother and aunt served as Auxiliary Presidents. My brother, sister and sister-in-law belong to the VFW Auxiliary.

Since 1971, I have held many positions in my Auxiliary, District 19, and the Department of Illinois. I have served in many chairmanships and positions in the Batavia Overseas Auxiliary 1197 including President and Treasurer. In my District, I held several chairmanships and served in all the chairs leading to District President in 1988 – 1989. I served several years as District Treasurer.

I held several chairmanships in the Department and became the Department Chief of Staff in 1993-1994. I then began my journey through the Department offices becoming Department President in 1999 – 2000. I have been the Department Secretary 4 times and have been the Department Treasurer since June of 2017.

I enjoy camping with my family, traveling with family and friends, reading and crafting (when time permits).

I particularly enjoy helping our members and Auxiliaries and it has been my pleasure to serve this organization on all levels. I have made many lifetime friends and added to my "family” throughout the years.
