I have been in the auxiliary for over 15 years and joined under my grandfather, Richard Patterson. He served in WWII and was a Purple Heart recipient. I have held many offices at the auxiliary level, but I feel the most important one is mentoring members. I want to make everyone feel that what they bring to the auxiliary is valued and appreciated. If each of us use Benjamin Franklin’s quote, "tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn” we will have a strong foundation and grow our auxiliaries.
I am excited to be the President of the 15th District and working with all our auxiliaries. Being president doesn’t mean I am always right; it means I understand everyone has unique experiences and talents to contribute. I am looking forward to this year and helping our members navigate their future and unlock their potential.
