Norma Jean Washburn Janney is the 2^nd of 4 girls and 3 boys to Dwight and Norma Washburn.

Mother of 2 wonderful daughters, 3 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, and 1 great-grandson.

Dwight (deceased) served in the Army in Korea.   I joined the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in 1992, so I

Could work part-time at the VFW.  I knew nothing about the organization.  Went to meetings and got involved.  All of my siblings, and my children are members.  Not as active as I hoped, but still working on them.  After being in the Auxiliary for 3 years I was elected as Auxiliary President, I went to District meetings.  Elected as District President in 2005, Ruth Smit was my first Department President.

Today I am the Secretary/Treasurer for Casey 5762 Auxiliary and 17^th District President.  Again!!

I learn something new every year. 

I retired from my factory work in 2017 with 49 years of service.  Drove a school bus for 3 years and retired again.  Worked for ADDUS for 1 ½ years and retired again.  So now I help in the elementary

School with lunch, 2 hours a day, help out at the VFW.   Gotta keep busy!!
