Denita Ricci is a Life Member of Lake Villa VFW Memorial Post 4308 in Lake Villa, Illinois. She has been actively involved in the organization since joining in 2014 on the eligibility of her eldest son who served in the Marines.

She comes from a military family with her father serving in the Air Force and her uncles serving in the Army and Navy. She has two sons. One served in the Marines and the other served in the Air Force. Both her sons are members of the VFW.

She has held numerous positions at Auxiliary, District and Department level. She was awarded First Place Outstanding Performance, Division 9, Big 10 Conference by the VFW Auxiliary National Organization as the Department Historian & Media Relations Chairman in 2023. She is also a Life Member of the VFW National Home.

She has a bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois and a Paralegal Certificate from College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois. She currently works full-time in the Real Estate Industry.

In her spare time Denita enjoys boating, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is honored to be part of the Department’s "Navigating the Future” year as the Auxiliary Outreach Chairman.
